Lately, people have becoming more and more aware of the identity theft issue that has been affecting individuals across the globe, and specifically in the United States. Just recently, thousands of Chillians were victims of identity theft after someone hacked into their databases and stole their personal information.
Once again, a group of identity thieves, known as “phishers” were caught, after they had stolen Social Security numbers, names, credit card data, and other personal information that could be useed to harm someone when in the hands of the wrong person. The “phishers” get this information by sending fraudulent emails asking for sensitive data, and by installing spyware into people’s computers.
