Hoax Tragedy
The Internet has opened many doors for individuals to play tricks on each other, start a hoax, and commit fraudulent crimes. That is what has happened through MySpace, the popular social networking site. Although officially the site is not intended for individuals under the age of thirteen, a girl by the name of Megan Meier had her own account, and would chat with a boy she came to know as Josh Evans. The boy sent her evil messages that eventually caused Megan to hang herself. The girl had suffered from depression, and this was known to the creators of the hoax, which was Josh Evans. That is why, Lori Drew of Missouri and her accomplices will be faced with charges because of this girl’s death.
