Although people have been rather original with their domain names, they have been limited as to how far they can go with their originality. All of that is about to change. The board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers will soon vote on two key proposals. The first proposal is that one will be able to choose a domain name with characters that are not Latin such as chinese letters or Arabic letters. The second proposal is that the domain name could be made up from any combination of letters and numbers, up to 64 characters. This means that instead of only having .com, .org, and some countries, like .ca, .au, or .uk, there can be names that are made up like .sex and .hotel. It is predicted that .sex will be the most popular.
